Use Our Weaver Gourmet™ Spices To Make These Quick & Easy, Delicious Dishes

Spices bring life to food. It’s amazing how much a bland, or ordinary, dish can be transformed or elevated to a delightful culinary masterpiece with a sprinkle here and a dash there of – spices!

We have 5 easy to make recipes here for you, each featuring a different, incredible spice as the main “actor”, bringing great flavors to each dish.


1. Lentils and Bacon Soup

A bowl of a hearty soup is such a comforting dish, especially if it’s extremely tasty! Here’s a recipe you may get addicted to!

  • 2 cups dried lentils, rinsed
  • 1 package(s) (10 ounces) frozen mixed vegetables
  • 2 slice(s) bacon, chopped
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 6 cups water
  • 1½ teaspoon Weaver Gourmet™ Vegetable Soup Spice
  • Fresh Italian parsley
  • Croutons

Cook bacon and onion in a large pot over medium to high heat, stirring occasionally, for 6 -8 minutes. Add lentils, vegetables, water, and Weaver Gourmet™ Vegetable Soup Spice. Once it boils, reduce heat and simmer for about 40 minutes. Cool soup slightly. Puree soup in food processor or in a blender in small batches. Serve topped with croutons. Sprinkle a little bit of chopped parsley and croutons and serve.


2. Grilled Cajun Chicken

Next time you feel like grilling some chicken, try this complex spice that boasts garlic, thyme, pepper flavors and so much more - Weaver Gourmet™ Cajun Spice Blend

Simply drizzle chicken breast, thighs or wings with olive oil, generously sprinkle with Weaver Gourmet™ Cajun Spice Blend on all sides, and then grill. Once done, squeeze some fresh lemon over the chicken – and voila, you’ve created your own Cajun style chicken.

You can also rub the chicken with Weaver Gourmet Cajun Spice Blend and refrigerate for a few hours to let the seasoning penetrate before grilling, thus achieving a more robust flavor.


3. BBQ Porkwith Carolina Rub

Warmer weather is coming; a great way to enjoy it is with friends and family while doing some outdoor barbecuing. Here’s a great dry rub recipe that will take your meat from ordinary to mouthwatering!

Have you ever tried Carolina BBQ? You can use any meat you like, but pork tends to be the traditional meat of choice for Carolina barbecue. Weather you prefer serving it sliced, shredded or pulled, season it with Weaver Gourmet™ Carolina Rub.

Dry rub this amazing spice, that combines the sweetness of brown sugar and the smoky heat of paprika, on before you toss pork on the grill or slow-roast it to perfection.


4. Cumin-Spiced Fish Tacos

Taco night? Don’t mind if we do! Here’s an easy recipe for delectable fish tacos.

  • 1 tablespoon ground Weaver Gourmet ™ Cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 fresh garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 pound cod fillets
  • 1 tablespoon oil oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 8 corn tortillas

Combine Weaver Gourmet ™ Cumin, salt, paprika, and black pepper with garlic. Rub over codfish. Place a skillet over medium-high heat, add oil, and sauté green onions for a few minutes, and then add fish. Cook for 5 minutes on each side or until done. Remove from heat but keep warm. Break fish into smaller pieces and fill warmed up flour or corn tortillas. Top each tortilla with 2 tablespoons of your favorite salsa; shredded cheese optional. Fold tortillas in half and serve immediately.


5. Veggie Stir Fry

And now something delicious for vegetarian and those no-meat-nights!

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 fresh garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 teaspoons dark sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Weaver Gourmet™ Stir Fry Seasoning
  • 4 small carrots, cut diagonally into ¼” thick slices
  • 1 small red bell pepper, cut into thin strips
  • 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 5 green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 cups hot cooked rice
  • Weaver Gourmet™ Sesame Seed

Cut off tough ends of asparagus; slice spears into 1” pieces, and set aside.

Stir together soy sauce, 1/4-cup water, garlic, 1-teaspoon sesame oil, and Weaver Gourmet™ Stir Fry Seasoning.

Heat 2 teaspoons of oil in a large skillet, preferably wok, over medium-high heat for 2 minutes. Add carrots, and stir-fry for 4 minutes. Add sauce mixture, asparagus, bell peppers, mushrooms, and green onions, and stir-fry for 5 minutes. Serve over rice, and finish with a sprinkle of Weaver Gourmet™ Sesame Seeds.
