EPHRATA - Weaver Nut Sweets & Snacks is hosting a family-friendly event jam packed with fun activities and free prizes for the community on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 10am until 2pm at 1925 W Main St, Ephrata, PA 17522. Admission is free. Live music will be performed by the Easily Amused band throughout the day. The Ephrata-based group consists of band members Jon Seibel, Dean Jantzen, Andrew Farr, Dan McCauley, Duane Stauffer and Chris Westerhoff.

Mr. B. Looney the clown will be on site to interact with attendees and provide comedy. Children will have six inflatable games to enjoy provided by the Eagle Rental company in Stevens, as well as a 30-foot Jelly Belly inflatable. Fire trucks from the Durlach/Mt. Airy and Lincoln fire companies will be on site for people to see.

Food will be available to purchase from The BBQ Trough caterer of Stevens. They specialize in old-fashioned Wet Sauce Chicken and French fries using the best ingredients and finest products.

While admission is free, everyone is encouraged to bring unopened toys to drop off at the event to help the incredible work of the Lancaster Toys for Tots organization. Their mission is to make sure that every child gets to experience the joy of Christmas, and they provide toys, books, and games to children whose families may not otherwise be able to afford any gifts.

Weaver Nut Sweets & Snacks is a family-owned and operated business that began in Lancaster County in 1975 and has been a growing treasure trove of candy, dried fruits, nuts, sweets, snacks, and bulk foods ever since. Their delicious, quality-made products are available to purchase online at www.weavernutsweetsandsnacks.com.

The company aims to abide by the golden rule of serving the customer as they would want to be served with quality, integrity, and enthusiasm. A four-alarm fire destroyed their production and distribution warehouses in Ephrata on Aug. 4, and they are currently in the process of rebuilding and operating from temporary warehouse space in the meantime. Weaver Nut Sweets & Snacks, together with other local businesses, recently hosted a firefighter appreciation dinner to thank the firefighters and first responders who helped to put out that fire.
